Somerset Sight Centenary Commemorative Brick Appeal
Somerset Sight is fast approaching it's Centenary Year. We, along with many other Associations for the Blind, were originally founded to support the wounded returning from the trenches.
A centenary year is a great moment to reflect on what has been achieved and to consider the future.
Demographics and modern life styles dictate that more and more people are living with sight loss. Somerset Sight is now offering life- long support to an unprecedented number of people.
Northfield House is a fabulous asset but, as many of you will have noticed, needs some adjustments to bring it into the 21st Century. It is very busy and well used but we need quality space to offer our beneficiaries the services they deserve including:
· Individual break out rooms for 1:1 support in a secluded and confidential environment,
· Quiet space for low vision support, technology training and braille.
· Quality space for Living with Sight Loss Training
· Social space in which our adults, children, young people and parents can flourish.
I would like to invite you to support the building improvements by purchasing a special Centenary brick for £100 or by giving a donation towards a brick. The sponsor or sponsors of each brick will be recognised on a joint plaque and invited to the opening launch.
We are also offering the opportunity for 5 people to sponsor a Key Stone, the final and very special bricks, which holds all the other stones together and is vital to our community at Somerset Sight. This will be available for sponsorship of £1000, recognised by an individual plaque for the building, and a commemorative memento for you to keep.
This is a very exciting time for our Charity and a golden opportunity to build on our success over the past 100 years and be able to offer even more opportunities to the visually impaired of Somerset.
To sponsor a brick please contact Holly on 01823 366147 or email@example.com
Thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to sharing the next 100 years with out members.
