Supermarket Collection Co-Ordinators
We would love to do more Supermarket Collections and need Volunteers to co-ordinate them in their local area. If you feel you would be able to co-ordinate a collection at your local supermarket or high street please get in touch.
We are approached by lots of organisations looking for people to go and talk at their group. We need Volunteers who are confident that we can train up to do this in place of a member of staff.
A wide variety of odd jobs at our Office in Taunton. Tasks can vary greatly though may include things like general maintenance, painting, equipment repairs, gardening duties and some general upkeep activities.
Mobile Advisory Service Assistant
Join Donna on the MAS and assist with sales in the shop, giving advice and recommending products or services. Retail experience would be an advantage but not essential.
We envisage this role to be one flexible day a week.
If you have a couple of hours to spare once a week or fortnight, we would love to hear from you. Somerset Sight will match you to an individual who you visit in their home to help them to live full and independent lives. You may help with such things as taking a short local walk for exercise and fresh air, dealing with post and writing cards, shopping or simply having a chat over a cup of tea.
Musgrove Park / Yeovil Hospital Eye Clinic Information Point Assistant
To support patients and their carers attending the eye clinic providing information and signposting to other services available.
To provide support to visually impaired people who want to attend organised activities and socials. If you are friendly, caring and reliable please get in touch.
To help co-ordinate and assist with activities across the county. This role is about ensuring the activities run smoothly and successfully, making new friends and getting out and about.
