Future Focus Day

Somerset Sight and the Vision Support Team are hosting a Future Focus Day on Tuesday 29th March from 9.30am – 2.30pm at Somerset County Cricket Ground, Taunton for year 9+ students. This event is free of charge.

There will be morning workshops run by Blind in Business where the young people can learn about future pathways, interview and cv skills and meet inspirational visually impaired people to find out about their experiences in further education and work.

The afternoon will be an opportunity to meet other young people with a vision impairment and try out activities including VI Cricket and team building with Duke of Edinburgh.

Timings for the day are as follows:

9.30 – 9.45 – open
9.45 – 10.30 – workshop
10.30 – 11 – workshop
11 – 11.15 – break
11.15 – 12 – Q&A
12 – 12.45 – lunch
12.45 – 1.30 – activity
1.30 – 2.15 – activity
2.15 – 2.30 – finish
